So did I when I started my Business, I felt the endless tasks never ending not just for my Business but for marketing and advertising too, which made me feel so unorganised. Pitching to clients, creating content on my blog and responding to emails and then back to square one with the tasks. As soon as I finished part of my tasks another thing popped up for me to do. Let me list below what I did to help me become organised and on top of my tasks.
- Brain dump all of your tasks on a piece of paper
- Organise your list in order of most important
- Check the due dates for each task, which one is due soon?
- Take 1-3 tasks (depending on how big of a task it is) for the day and complete them in order of the due date
Content batching is also a huge help too! You can take some time out to content batch for the month and then put them into your scheduler ready to go, this is a huge help to get you organised for the month. If you really are stuck on time then why not repurpose your content. Use a blog post to take some pointers from and use it as an Instagram post or Facebook post, use a Youtube video to repurpose a reel, take the same Youtube video and turn it into a blog post or vice versa. This will save time thinking of things to post as well as creating something from scratch!
Time Blocking is the way forward to be more organised
Time blocking is such a great way to keep on top of the never ending list! Time blocking will help you know what you will be working on and when. Planning your day or week in advance can improve your time management and give organisation to your Business. Automation to really increase your organisation skills!
Automating some of your tasks can really benefit you and reduce your time on certain tasks. Automate contracts, invoicing and email sequences to be sent out without you having to do this. You can use systems such as:
